New England Plumbers is an independent referral service for homeowners in Greater Lowell, Massachusetts.

New England Plumbers is a referral service. We don't do plumbing work, set prices or sign contracts. Your estimate, contract and schedule are between you and the contractor.

How your request is handled

No participating contractors are available yet, so every request comes to New England Plumbers. We review it and reply by the next business day. A contractor introduction may not be possible in your area yet.

We send your details to at most one contractor, and never to a different contractor later without asking you first.

What we check before referring a contractor

Before a contractor receives any requests through New England Plumbers, we check their Massachusetts plumbing license on the state's license lookup: the master plumber license the business works under and the licenses of the plumbers who do the work. We also check for a current certificate of liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage where the contractor has employees.

Each participating contractor also agrees in writing to the area they cover, the work they accept and how quickly they respond. If a contractor stops meeting that standard, we stop sending them requests.

How contractors are paid and assigned

We work with at most one participating contractor per area. Participating contractors may pay New England Plumbers for marketing. That never changes what we check before referring them.
